Located on the shores of the Mediterranean the Costa Almeria is one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations. The region really has something for everyone from unspoilt beaches, to picturesque towns, and fishing villages

Costa Almeria is also the location of many natural sights of interest and beauty.
The Cuevas de Sorbas are highly interesting, spacious caves with amazing rock formations.
Tours are available through the caves and you can even clip on a harness and go searching for hidden caverns and treasures.
The Cabo de Gata National Park is a must see as it is Andulucia's largest coastal protected area
of great beauty and ecological wealth. The area has many plants and wildlife as well as fantastic
beaches with clear seas that are perfect for diving and snorkeling.

Further a field, only 16 miles from the centre of Almeria, is the Tabernas Desert.
Famous for being the film location for many Spaghetti Westerns this vast area is Europe's only desert.

Fans of Spaghetti Westerns will love Tabernas which set the scenes for films such as The Good, The Bad and The Ugly and The Magnificent Seven. The film sets have been turned into themed attractions and its canyons and rocky landscape make for an intriguing place to visit.

Almeria City -- this ancient city contains a large Moorish citadel (the Alcazaba) and a medieval  cathedral.

It is warm and sunny all year round with very little rain. Temperatures can get quite hot in the summer but remain warm in the winter which is ideal for our Horse riding holidays.

The resort of San Jose is a good day out-- eating at the waterfront restaurants here give good views of the unspoilt harbour.

There are many fishing villages on the Costa Almeria which are worth a visit. These include San Miguel, Las Negras and Garrucha.

The region offers all kinds of accommodation options from luxury hotels to self-catering rentals.

Holiday Apartments Costa Almeria  offer holiday accommodation to suit everyone
